Photos part 2

"Something I Am Not Proud Of" requested by sulu-design
When Susan requested this I thought to myself I can get pretty honest with myself. This photo represents the string of Christmas lights that are still strung up across my living room floor after I took them down a week ago. I need to wind them up neatly. What am I waiting for? I don't know. But I do this in other areas of my life by letting little insignificant things become monsters in the room. I need to work on being more prompt with tasks in my personal life.

"Corner Of My Home/ Reading Spot" requested by Sherry
Oh, check out the sweater pillows I made last month. They've already been washed and dried and they survived. I have a little cube foot stool I can place in front of this chair and cuddle into the leather seat for a bright reading spot. In truth, I can never read in one place too long. Two chapters in I am sprawled across the floor. By chapter five I made my way over to the couch and then I'll finish the book in bed.

In case you are wondering what these photos are all about I asked for some suggestions in this post.

  1. i love those chairs. I am in need of a good reading nook. As it is I tend to just sit on the couch or lay in bed.

  2. I just put away a box of lights that sat on my table since Thanksgiving. They were supposed to go on the porch. So I think that's worse. They've been out all this time, and they didn't even do anything for me!

  3. You rock for posting the lights! So many of us can say the same thing about Christmas lights left out too long...
I really like the idea behind your call for requests and what you've done with them.

  4. Great sweater pillow! Just lovely.

As for reading a book, I can sit in one place for a whole day to finish a good book (that's back before having a little one). Now I'm lucky to hold my eyelids open for 3 pages ;)

  5. I know exactly what you mean by little projects that become monsters. And it feels so ridiculous when you finally tackle it - and it only takes minutes to do. How about I come over to your place and wind up your lights, and you can come to my place and put the three rolls of Christmas wrapping paper into the closet where they belong... it won't be much work, as they're currently only about 4 feet from the closet! (Yet, somehow I never seem to get that done.) Haha!

That pillow looks so soft and comfy!

: D Thanks for stopping by my blog.

  6. So lovely a pillow and spot! I am the same way when I read, I love to do it sprawled on the couch, floor or bed.

  7. I love your reading corner. That pillow looks great, too (I've been wanting to make something like that.. need a sewing machine). You made me smile at the thought of someone else having multiple spots for reading. I think I have five!

  8. I have no idea where I posted the "print-screen" comment in your blog, and I'm glad I didn't tell you something you already knew!

I only just saw that I had a comment on my blog today or I would have responded sooner. Don't feel bad--someone had to tell me about the Print Screen function/copy/paste-thing, too. Share the love, you know? Knowledge is power and all that jazz!

  9. I do the same thing with letting little things become monsters in the room. I'm really trying to overcome that this year, bit by bit. I actually just recovered my scrapbook tote for exactly this purpose. You can check it out at my blog if you have the time. :)
