has a real job. But today I really just wanted to spend 8 hours in that mess I call a sewing room.
The morning light was so nice on the bare, rented, white walls. I can't wait till we get a house and can paint. I did take my spiral bound idea book with me today. Not that I had a chance to open it. But still it was like having a 'creative blanket' with me as I worked. I've been so analytical at work that I am contemplating taking Friday off to be inspired. I don't know about you, but I find I do my best at my career job when I exercise the right and left side of my brain.
I agree with you. If I haven't done anything creative at home I feel more stressed. It's good to have some balance.
ReplyDeleteBalance is so important. Every once and a while I take a half day here or there from work to be creative. I consider it mental health and it's totally justifiable. If you do take friday off, I can't wait to see what you make!
ReplyDeleteI hear ya! I planned to take a day off last week, but ended up sick instead. I still got the day off, but it was no fun!!
ReplyDeleteYou're exactly right! I get so overwhelmed with work and home responsibilities that sometimes I just MUST have a day where I can do nothing but be creative. It works wonders doesn't it!!
ReplyDeleteBalance is the key.
ReplyDeleteYou are so creative - I bet your idea book is always being added to. : )
Oh yeah I definitely agree. Especially now that I'm full time. I used to have my Mondays and Tuesdays to putter and craft, and now I have to find the balance. I find even doing something as minimal as knitting a few rows of something helps.
ReplyDeleteLeeAnn, is that you in the pic? You're BEAUTIFUL! :)
